Here are this week’s set of guided mindfulness practices. The focus this week is on the present and how we can engage with our present environment. I also include a couple of extras too:

This week, following the launch of Tranquil we are pulling other content and materials to help you on your journey.

The Moving World: Our World is constantly moving, but do we ever pay attention to even the smallest elements of movement? In this exercise, we take a break from the rigours of life and look at the various things around us whose subtle movements can help us to relax and de-stress.

Open Awareness: Wouldn’t it be great if we could tune in to and enjoy many parts of our current environment? We may not recognise them, but there is a multitude of sounds, sights, textures, tastes all around us that we rarely pay attention to. The power of Open Awareness is where we tune in to those and discover new ways of experiencing our environment

Open Your Senses: Open awareness is a great practice to explore the World around us, devoid of any of the distractions. Here we look at how can tune in to some of the smaller aspects of the environment, and cherish them completely

Three Mindful Breaths: A simple exercise to distance ourselves from the triggers that we may be experiencing, or simply to just give us more space to relax. In this exercise, we first describe the three mindful breaths practice before diving in and practising it

Resting the Mind: How often do you purposely slow down? This practice gives you the opportunity to train the mind to slow down when it becomes overactive, and helps you practice ease and relaxation instead of perpetuating those difficult mental states.

(1) FREE Month of Waking Up App: I am a massive fan of the Sam Harris Waking Up App. It has quickly become my go-to meditation App. As an offer, I am fortunate to be able to gift you 1 month of usage on the App to give it a go. Sign-up here (Note that I get no commission from this)

(2) Introduction to Mindfulness Course: The Tranquil Led website was launched recently alongside the first part of a journey on discovering a sense of purpose. Check the website below
